Quest GINA is a Windows logon extension from Quest Software, Inc. that replaces or extends the legacy Graphical Identification and Authentication (GINA) module on Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 systems. It integrates Quest’s identity and access management capabilities directly into the Ctrl+Alt+Del logon experience, enabling features such as multifactor authentication, self-service password reset and account unlock, custom logon workflows, and policy enforcement—depending on the specific Quest solution deployed. Designed for enterprise environments, especially those using Microsoft Active Directory, Quest GINA helps strengthen security and streamline user sign-in on legacy Windows platforms. For Windows Vista and later, equivalent functionality is provided through Quest Credential Provider components rather than GINA.
Quest GINA is developed by Quest Software, Inc.. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 3.5, 3.6 and 4.0.
